Sometimes it feels that the only time Mexicans react anymore is when the day-to-day atrocities that go on in our country make it to the news elsewhere around the world.

This had to be something the other parties would exploit, I assumed. The road to victory would surely be a platform that promised to stop the violence. I was wrong; the war was not mentioned once.
